  • Program will be delivered across a variety of media formats
  • Aspermont's ability to lead the industry on such an important conversation reaffirms the inherent strength of its industry brands
  • MJSEP is the first of a series of important conversations that Aspermont will develop with its industries
  • These programmes are crowd funded by key industry partners
  • MJSEP has generated over $200k in revenue, at high margin, pre-launch

Aspermont Managing Director Alex Kent said:

"Through 365-day engagement with our audiences, both on and offline, Aspermont is ideally positioned to not only identify the most important topics within our industries but also to lead the development of those conversations

Two years ago, we developed a macro conversation around the ‘Future of Mining' and extend what started as a content hub into a highly successful global event series. The Mining Journal Stakeholder Engagement Programme now see us intensify our focus on a specific conversation and expand it across all our on-and-offline channels

Unlike other media organisations, who simply cover the market, Aspermont's commitment to leading its industries see us provide both the platform and elevated forum to help our communities collaborate more effectively and ultimately find solutions to the greatest challenges of the day

Our technological evolution over the last few years has brought us to the point where we are able to marry versatility of product sets with over 500 years of combined brand credentials in delivering independent and trusted industry content, on topic such as stakeholder engagement

Aspermont's brands and editorial teams have never been better armed with the capabilities they have today to deliver the right content, from the mouths of the right people, on the right medium, at the right time.

This is an incredibly exciting venture that puts Aspermont and its brands, front and centre of our global industries and opens numerous other commercial opportunities for us. We look forward to updating our shareholder as these develop over time."

What is the Stakeholder Engagement program and why are we doing it?

The stakeholder engagement programme is an example of Mining Journal taking the lead in developing one of the most pertinent conversations in our industry today. It is our response to what we see as a disconnect between rising expectations held by industry stakeholders, set against what is seen by many as an inadequate industry response to these pressures

The Stakeholder engagement programme will build a meaningful conversation between industry and core stakeholders that will be run on a multimedia platform, over several months to:

  • Understand/establish realistic stakeholder expectations
  • Define key steps and targets for meeting those expectations

We will use Mining Journal's distribution network to disseminate the findings, accelerate the ‘trickle down' and ultimately change the conversation

How will it be delivered?

Our multimedium platforms will carry the conversation through podcast recordings, video interviews, thought-leadership articles, industry research, news, and a whitepaper review of both the current state of the industry's engagement with its stakeholders and the practical path ahead. The central pillar of the programme will be a roundtable discussion scheduled for October this year.

All the content will be curated on a dedicated website that will be the core content hub.  This will be promoted to our global mining community both through our own channels and on social media

Who are we working with on this?

As ever, Mining Journal's Stakeholder Engagement programme is a truly collaborative effort, curated by our internal content teams and supported by industry and stakeholders.

Accenture | Danakali | Isometrix | London Metal Exchange | Polymetal
