You'll be a key player within our London based international sales team, but also a part of our global Sales team who are located across the UK, Australia and the United States.


Mining Journal is the oldest and most dominant brand in the Mining finance space that is accessed by a global investor and mining community. There are over 3,000 mining companies that are listed across the world that are continually looking to generate investment from professional and consumer investors. These will be individuals, funds or professional investors who will buy shares in these companies.

Many of these mining companies are at exploration or discovery stage, so investors will look at these as attractive long-term investment opportunities.

Mining Journal covers this investor audience and can offer solutions such as virtual events, virtual meetings, digital and content services to mining companies for them to connect with these investors.

We now have an opportunity for a global sales role which is key in selling our solutions within this portfolio to Mining Companies based across the UK and North America.

Your role will be to manage mining companies based in North America and Europe and to sell our investor-based solutions. This will involve speaking to CEO, Investor Relations and PR decision makers to discover how they are looking to raise investment, what type of investors they are looking to engage with and what marketing they would like to undertake.

Products that can be sold include one to one investor meetings, virtual events, advertising, content creation (where we help create video and partner content). Many of these initiatives will be sold within integrated marketing programs that the you'll create.

You'll be able to demonstrate comprehensive coverage of their allocated client patch, the ability to ask probing questions, listen to client needs and to clearly articulate our solutions.

You'll report directly into our UK based, Chief Commercial Officer, which we also think will be an exciting prospect and great opportunity for you.


  • Establishing connections and relationships with listed Mining companies (Juniors) that are listed on AIM and TSX
  • Gaining an understanding of their marketing objectives and target investor requirements
  • Identifying milestones and announcements that the mining company may wish to promote
  • Promoting our investor led solutions such as virtual events, Investor roadshows (meetings), brand advertising and content creation (CEO interviews)
  • Effectively managing and updating the commercial CRM platform (HubSpot)
  • Generating new revenue opportunities
  • Overall, meeting and exceeding annual sales targets

With our subscriptions revenues continuing to grow, we are looking to recruit a new business sales executive to join our existing team to drive revenue growth across our range of mining and energy products.

Reporting to the Group Sales Director, the role will take responsibility for bringing in new business from existing inbound leads, as well as proactively selling into targeted institutions. The role is fast paced, and you will be selling to an International client base across a range of publications and services.

You will be joining an existing subscription sales team spanning London, Perth and Belo Horizonte, and should enjoy working and being part of a team, as well being happy to work independently.

Excellent leads will be provided by marketing, these will range from prospects downloading sample information to people requesting trials. Alongside these enquiries you will be expected to be proactive and be able to show initiative and build your own pipeline of new business prospects. Full sales training and support will be given, alongside industry and product training to ensure you are fully equipped to succeed in your role.

REPORTS TO: Group Sales Director (UK)


  • Achieve monthly subscription sales targets
  • Identifying and securing sales opportunities and lead generation
  • Timely and accurate processing of orders
  • High volume sales activity
  • Tracking and reporting of sales results
  • Maintaining a pipeline of prospects and maintaining and updating the CRM system

  • Prior experience of selling on a corporate level, be it subscriptions, data, advertising or events.
