Senior Conference Producer - London, UK


A leading specialist global publisher for professionals within the mining industry is looking for a Conference Producer to join their specialist team.
As the leading media services provider in the mining and resources industry, the company delivers high value, premium subscription-based content through digital, print, conferencing and events channels. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to work with the existing high calibre publishing team in developing the next extension of this great industry icon.
The company are renowned for the seniority of their audiences and quality of their publications and this is a great opportunity to deal directly with both c-suite executives and industry experts from international institutions. The successful candidate will be expected to take on a high degree of ownership, autonomy and responsibility for the production and project management of new launches.
Over the next 18 months the events business will cover regions including Europe, US and Australasia, therefore international travel is a prerequisite.


The individual will be responsible for researching and developing global conference programmes tailored to the global mining industry. Responsibilities include:

  • Researching the market to understand key trends and topics
  • Identifying and building relationships with industry leading executives conducting
  • telephone interviews and face-to-face meetings
  • Planning and implementing the focus of each conference ensuring they are commercially viable
  • Attracting and securing leading key industry speakers
  • Researching competitor events, highlighting strengths and weaknesses
  • Building the identity and promote each event across social media
  • Working seamlessly with Marketing, Sales and Operations to provide the best pre-event and onsite experience possible

At events:

  • Onsite management and ownership for the running order, schedule and agenda of the conference
  • Collate feedback from those attending the event to gain any recommendations or ideas for future events
  • Ensure excellent onsite experiences for our attendees


  • Consistently engaging with the industry to ensure our conferences continue to evolve and grow and provide innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience
  • Continue with the Aspermont ethos to bring new ideas to the business and expand our portfolio of events

Your key stakeholders will include:

  • Extensive experience within production
  • Knowledge of the mining/oil and gas sector, preferred but not essential
  • An interest in producing top tier events
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken
  • Confident speaking to senior executives
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Proactive nature and show initiative
