Busy and fast paced, Aspermont Finance and Controlling division is responsible for the month end closing process and assurance of correct books and records. The division undertakes performance analysis against budget and forecasts, and supports decision making processes to facilitate cost out initiatives.
The Finance division operates in teams based in London, Perth and Manila, but despite being scattered geographically and functionally, often collaborates on shared projects and has regular virtual catch-ups.

With our subscriptions revenues and subscriber base continuing to grow, we are looking to recruit a New Business Subscription Sales Executive to join our existing team to drive revenue growth across our range of mining and energy products.
Aspermont's success over the past five years within subscriptions has been built from our account-based selling and marketing approach, and this role plays a vital part within this process.
You will be part of an international subscriptions sales team who are primarily located across the UK and Australia that maintain and drive activity across MNN, AMM, ENB, PNG capitalizing on our strong recent new business performance, and the opportunities that are available to Aspermont across both the wider Asia region as well as Australia.
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Group Sales Director, the role will take responsibility for bringing in new business from existing inbound leads, as well as proactively selling into targeted institutions. The role is fast paced, and you will be selling to an international client base across a range of publications and services.
You will be joining an existing international subscription sales team spanning London, Perth and Belo Horizonte, and should enjoy working and being part of a team, as well being happy to work independently.
You will be working across both the mining finance and mining operations industries, as well as energy which is a huge growth opportunity for us as a business.
Excellent leads will be provided by marketing, these will range from prospects downloading sample information to people requesting trials. Alongside these enquiries you will be expected to be proactive and be able to show initiative and build your own pipeline of new business prospects. You should be confident in managing and developing sales opportunities spanning the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be part of an international subscriptions sales team who are primarily located across the UK and Australia. Day to day you will be a key player across MNN, AMM, ENB, PNG by providing support to the team to achieve their sales targets, alongside working on strategic initiatives to continue to support the commercial success of the Subscriptions Team.
YOUR ROLE
This role plays a pivotal part within the Australian Subscriptions Team through delivering an interesting mix of day-to-day sales, that supports the overall success of the Subscriptions Team, in addition to supporting the on-boarding for new team members, and the development of existing team members with their sales techniques and competencies.
Another key component of the role is working in partnership and supporting the Group Subscriptions Sales Director and Group Operations Manager to maximise potential to achieve budgeted renewal and new business revenue, through reviewing commercial challenges and working to seek workable solutions, or identifying commercial opportunities.
The majority of your role (around 80-85%) will be focused on generating personal revenue, from an existing book of predominantly Australian based corporate accounts as well as generating new business. You should be a proactive sales leader, and enjoy the challenge of researching and developing new business right through the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
In conjunction with your personal selling, your dedication to working with and upskilling the Australian based team (around 10%) will assist them to deliver on their targets. The remainder of which (5%) will be spent partnering the Group Subscriptions Sales Director.

The successful candidate will lead the operational planning and delivery for all Aspermont's live and future events including our live Future of Mining, Mining Journal Select and Farmer of the Year events. Reporting to the Events Director, this position is best suited for someone who can take on the day-to-day demands of growing & delivering a high-quality product with respect to live and digital conferences, exhibitions, and bespoke events.

YOUR ROLE:
This position is responsible for producing assigned news and feature content for Aspermont's energy focussed publication Energy News Bulletin (ENB). The reporter will cover Australia and the Asia Pacific's energy sector, from upstream developments to policy, geopolitics, global energy markets and new energy.
The journalist will also coordinate the content for special print editions and work with the production team to help finalise flat plans when needed.
An ability to work fast to high standards with a passion for explaining the energy transition are important. A background in energy, finance, the wider resources industry or science is helpful but not a necessity.
The role will report into our ENB Editor and be based from our Perth Office.
