Event Marketing Executive - London, UK

We are looking for an Event Marketing Executive to join our specialist team.  Reporting to the Event Marketing Manager, The successful candidate will be expected to take on a high degree of ownership, autonomy and responsibility. International travel may be required.

Overview
Aspermont has recently launched a new events division leveraging its prime publishing brands. First published in 1835, Mining Journal has been the preeminent publishing title for the global mining finance sector. As Aspermont successfully launched its Mines and Money event series over 13 years ago from within Mining Journal, it now looks to build a more multifaceted offering under the flagship brand itself. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to work with the existing high calibre Mining Journal team in developing the next extension of this great industry icon.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Event team whilst liaising with support teams in London & Australia to deliver on the Events strategy
  • Be responsible for tactical delivery and execution of campaigns across all applicable marketing channels with significant for responsibility for email marketing and social media (Twitter / LinkedIn)
  • Execute the marketing strategy for events across Australia, UK & America's, initially for year one there will be four events (locations to be confirmed); year two growth will include multi-regions for the same events
  • Support the Event Marketing Manager database build and selections, identifying media partners, briefing and managing design, copywriting, print, direct mail, and digital marketing activity
  • Contribute researched/qualified prospects for database build
  • Work with other marketing managers and Editorial team members to develop an integrated content marketing approach
  • Incorporate customer insights into delivery ongoing promotional campaigns
  • Negotiate and execute marketing opportunities with external media partners , associations and other third party websites relevant to the mining supply chain
  • Using web analytics software, e.g. Google Analytics, to monitor performance of event 
    websites and make recommendations for improvement
  • Administrative support for the event marketing function where necessary

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Currently performing Events Marketing Executive role.
  • 2+ year's event marketing experience.
  • Exceptionally organised with attention to detail.
  • Able to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Hands-on experience and comprehensive understanding of digital marketing channels.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel  / Word / Powerpoint)
  • Have the ability to work autonomously using common sense and initiative.
  • Experience marketing to C-suite and B2B audiences.
  • Deep understanding of the latest trends in events and digital marketing.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Email marketing/automation experience.
  • Confident in managing and segmenting data.
  • Prior experience in publishing and/or mining is desirable.

We are looking for an experienced Delegates and Subscriptions Sales professional who can take responsibility for achieving sales targets across our subscriptions and events businesses.

Conference Producer - London, UK

We are looking for a Conference Producer to join our London team.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a producer to develop and run a US based conference, building on a well-established publication and event brand.  The individual will be responsible for researching and developing global conference programmes tailored to the global mining industry.  The successful candidate will be expected to take on a high degree of ownership, autonomy and responsibility for the production and project management of new launches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research the market to understand key trends and topics
  • Identify and build relationships with industry leading executives conducting telephone interviews and face-to-face meetings
  • Plan and implement the focus of each conference ensuring they are commercially viable
  • Attract and secure leading key industry speakers
  • Research competitor events, highlighting strengths and weaknesses
  • Build the identity and promote each event across social media
  • Work seamlessly with Marketing, Sales and Operations to provide the best pre-event and onsite experience possible

AT EVENTS:

  • Onsite management and ownership for the running order, schedule and agenda of the conference
  • Collate feedback from those attending the event to gain any recommendations or ideas for future events

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6 - 12 months of commercial experience

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join our specialist team.  Reporting to the Australian Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to take on a high degree of ownership, autonomy and responsibility.  This is an exciting opportunity to work with the marketing team to grow and support readership growth.

Aspermont delivers subscription based content through digital, print, conferencing and events channels. We aim to deliver high quality and objective Business to Business (B2B) information services across the sectors that we serve and these are supplemented with additional online resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will work with the Australian Marketing Manager (50%) and the UK Marketing Team (50%) to help develop and implement strategies that 1) increase new business acquisition and 2) improve readership retention rates. You'll be a digitally-savvy marketer, comfortable using technology to deliver targeted campaigns across channels.

We are looking for someone who wants to progress into a junior marketing manager role. The candidate must be naturally curious with a desire to learn and ability to troubleshoot independently.
