ABOUT ENERGY NEWS BULLETIN
Energy News Bulletin is Australia's largest integrated energy publication covering both the oil and gas industry and renewables and new energy like hydrogen.
The masthead has a 20-year history in Australia and was one of the first to move online in the early 2000s. We offer up to date market analysis, break stories, offer timely features and cover both ASX-listed companies and edicts from Canberra.
At ENB we understand our subject is at the forefront of world consciousness as energy systems transition rapidly, but we also write for a wide audience of well-informed energy professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and talented journalist to join us as a junior reporter at Energy News Bulletin in Perth, Western Australia.
WA is a global hub for energy companies, all of whom are addressing the challenges of the energy transition. As a result there's never been a more exciting time to work on this ever-evolving news beat.
The junior reporter is responsible for writing (self-sourced as well as commissioned) engaging and informed multi-media news and feature articles on a daily basis, covering all aspects of the APAC-based energy sector.
The junior reporter will also be responsible at times for the production of social media content (primarily LinkedIn) and the daily newsletter.
We are looking for a talented, resilient self-starter, able to work fast to high standards with a passion for explaining sometimes complex issues in an engaging manner. A background in energy, finance, the wider resources industry or science is helpful but not a necessity. A good understanding of the energy landscape and a willingness to learn fast are more important.
