Aspermont Limited (ASX: ASP) is pleased to to announce the appointment of Chris Cann as Editor of Mining Journal, the global mining investment and business weekly now in its 180th year, as well as mining-journal.com. Chris is an experienced and widely respected mining journalist who is well qualified to advance the Mining Journal values of high quality and objective reporting on the global mining industry.

Chris completed a Bachelor of Science degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism in Australia and subsequently a BSc (First Class) with the University of London. He initially worked with Paydirt Media (Paydirt, Gold Mining Journal) and Aspermont (ResourceStocks, MiningNews.net), moving to the UK in 2007 as a freelance resources journalist, principally as European editor for HighGrade.net, an online title that became part of Mining Journal in 2013. Chris has also been a key contributor to Mining Journal.

Chris will maintain the Mining Journal tradition for objective reporting on mining investment, finance and business news, supplemented with analysis and features on new trends or developments in the mining and energy sectors. He will work closely with Richard Roberts, who has been promoted from Mining Journal editor to a newly created position as Aspermont Group Managing Editor, responsible for all Aspermont Group resource publications.
