We're looking for an experienced B2B journalist or editor, who is interested in developing this title, in both print and online.

While drilling is often viewed as a niche sector, it is involved in a wide range of applications from construction to mining. Accordingly, if you're not afraid to tackle technical topics and to get into the nitty-gritty of a specialised subject area, this could be the role for you.

The Editor is responsible for overseeing production of the print edition of GDI, as well as GDI website and e-newsletter content. The role involves writing, assigning and supervising completion of work, editing and proofing.

This is a full-time position.


  • As Editor you are responsible for ensuring the required quality and quantity of content is generated to specified deadlines for the print/tablet edition of GDI (published 10 times a year), as well as the bimonthly e-newsletter;
  • Communicating with key industry figures, and representing GDI at international industry events and on site visits;
  • Developing reader engagement through social media platforms and other promotional activity;
  • Maintaining a sound working knowledge of the information needs of the readers and ensuring GDI output meets those needs;
  • Ongoing development of editorial strategy and core product offering, and marketing of same;
  • Maintaining sound awareness of competitor products; and
  • Working closely with advertising, marketing and production teams.


  • Solid experience in B2B print/online publishing;
  • Comfortable using CMS and social media platforms;
  • Excellent editing and subediting skills;
  • Ability to produce well-researched, accurate and engaging copy;
  • Experience in conducting interviews with company executives.


  • We are based in a friendly, bright WeWork office space easily accessible from the City of London. 


  • Standard hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week). Given the international nature of the industry, there may be a need to work variable hours, and we offer a degree of flexibility;
  • Salary: Competitive, DoE;

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Finance Department, working on a number of key business projects as well as supporting the Senior Management team and the Group Financial controller.

The Business Analyst is a new role within Aspermont's Finance department and will have extensive exposure to Executive and Senior management across the business.

The main responsibilities will be supporting Group Key Performance analysis, KPI reporting, executive presentations and supporting the Group Financial Controller in managing the UK accounting function. This role will have extensive exposure to Senior Managers developing operational strategies to enable further growth of the organisation.  The role will also be involved in a number of key business projects.


  • Developing and managing the KPI processes, data analysis and data aggregation.
  • Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all Group KPI reporting in a timely manner.
  • Support Quarterly investor and market presentations and analysis
  • Support the Group Financial Controller as directed in manging various aspects of financial activity including:
    • Cashflow management and reporting
    • Monthly management reporting
    • Half yearly and annual reporting
    • Ad hoc projects
  • Substantial liaison with the key business owners of the operating companies in order to understand the reporting and business issues.
  • Preparation of materials for quarterly review meetings with Board and shareholder updates and adhoc for investor presentations.


  • Accounting, financial planning or other business qualification or training would be an advantage
  • Previous exposure to business analysis and using BI systems.
  • Detailed, analytical approach.
  • Capable of working under pressure and to immovable deadlines.
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise work appropriately.
  • Confident, credible presence, in person, on the telephone and in writing.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
